Oh, young girls today. Blossoming from little buds and growing in to beautiful lush flowers. Transitioning through that rite of passage with grace and confidence.
Uh... wearing an uncomfortably short dress (especially for a LITTLE GIRL!) and having your tampon string hanging out? Um.... Awkward....
This was Taylor Momsen when Gossip Girl first started. I only watched season 1 of Gossip Girl because that was the only season that had any kind of remotely good story line. But I digress...
So, she started out so cute. So adorable. Girl next door, blonde, fresh faced - so cute!
Then she kind of styled her hair a bit differently, showed a little bit more skin, and discovered eye liner. Still - pretty darn cute!
Then, she REALLY fell in love with eyeliner. Like, obsessive, dirty, inappropriate love. The kind of love that should not be flaunted in the public. You know what else shouldn't be flaunted in the public?
A LITTLE GIRL wearing lingerie with stripper heals on with an actual slit for tips. OH... AND A TIP! Is that a $1.00 bill? She clearly doesn't think too highly of herself.
You know what else is odd for a little 17 year old girl? Um... how about TALKING ABOUT YOUR VIBRATOR and how it's your best friend? She also speaks of it here. And of course proving what a good role model she is HERE - you know, you're a role model if you want to be or not. And of course, her sensitivity and her down right Mother Theresa attitude about current events she displayed here. Oh Taylor Momsen - great role model for young girls. Next down this path of destruction? Could it be Miley Cyrus? She can't be tamed!

As for the friend who yelled at you - she is obviously it not a good place with herself - when she spoke to you in that manner - she was projecting , she was saying what she felt about herself. Until she finds peace within herself - she will continue to be a Toxic friend - itsup to you to decide if you want to stay by her side - or distant yourself until she gets a grip on life. I think we all have come across these sorts of friends and have perhaps even that kind of friend in some degree at some point in our lives.

ReplyDeleteJenny Humphrey was adorable on the first season {I still watch ;)} but has become more of a train wreck each year. So sad!

ReplyDeleteUm, ew. I have never seen that show, as I am embarrassingly lacking in being up to date on the prime time television front, but that poor girl needs someone to lock her away for awhile or I....I don't know...very disturbing.
