I interrupt this "sincere" apology from Tiger Wood - given only in front of a hand picked audience *rolls eyes* to tell you my own story of woe.
I am not a multi-millionaire. I HAVE to work for a living - in order to pay bills. Sometimes my jobs is so awesome I love going to work - sometimes not so much.
Tuesday was a not so much day. I was being scolded for something that I'm still unclear why I was being scolded (does that make sense?) I felt attacked - I got angry - when I'm angry, I cry... and I cry... and I cry.
Finally - when I am able to pull it together - my eyes water for the rest of the day.
Then, I see my husband - he says "how was your day" and I cry, and I cry, and I cry.
Can I tell you - my eye makeup did not budge. It did not melt into the crease - it did not run down my face, it did not fade. It looked the same at the end of the day as it did that morning.
What is this magical makeup you ask? Everyday Minerals Eyeshadow with a very thin layer of NYX Jumbo Pencil in Milk underneath.

Yes, I use the NYX jumbo as a primer. I find it works as well as anything (I have oily lids) and the loose powder really sticks to it... and... its cheap!

ReplyDeleteBut more importantly, that is some magical amazing eye makeup!!! That's awesome. Is the Jumbo pencil skin tone, or is it a colored base? the primer I use is more like a concealer, it's from an only makeup company that I love...it does the trick but it would great to try other things. How much & where did you buy it?

I'm not sure where you get them in the states, but here you can get them in drug stores and supermarkets and they are only $6.00 in Canada, so probably half that price in the states.
At that price I'm definitely going to have to try that! My beloved Urban Decay Primer Potion is not cheap enough for my liking haha.

ReplyDeleteI have to tell you that purple is my absolute FAVORITE color. That eye shadow ROCKS. I'm sorry that you had a bad day at work, unfortunately, I absolutely understand the part about being scolded for something that I can't quite figure out what it is that I am being scolded about. It's probably something along the lines of SH** rolls downhill. Somebody prolly peed in their wheaties so they wanted to spread the joy.
